Delete your account

You can erase your Volleyball Code account and everything in it yourself, in about ten seconds, without asking anyone's permission. This page explains how, and exactly what goes.

Delete it yourself, in the app

This is the fastest route and it needs nothing from us:

  1. Open Volleyball Code and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Scroll to Delete account and tap Delete account.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm.

Your account and your data are erased immediately, and you are signed out. There is no waiting period and no confirmation email to wait for. The same steps work on the website and in the Android app.

Export anything you want to keep first. Deletion is permanent and we cannot restore a deleted account. Match reports export to PDF and CSV from the statistics page.

Or ask us to do it

If you cannot sign in — a lost password on an email address you no longer control, for example — email contact@volleyballcode.com from the address on the account, or tell us which address the account uses, and ask us to delete it.

We reply within one working day and complete the deletion within 30 days of the request, usually the same day. We may ask you one question to confirm you own the account, because deleting someone else's matches on request would be its own kind of failure.

What is deleted

Everything that is yours:

  • Your account — the sign-in itself, your email address, and your password or Google connection.
  • Your matches — every match you have coded, with all its rallies, actions, scores and statistics.
  • Your teams and rosters — team names, players and jersey numbers.
  • Your profile and preferences — coach name, club, and app settings.
  • Your usage records — the counters behind plan limits, and any error reports linked to your account.

Deleted data is removed from our live systems at once and from our encrypted backups within 90 days, as those backups roll over.

What is kept, and why

  • Payment records — if you ever paid for a plan, the record of that transaction is kept, with your account no longer attached to it. Tax and accounting law requires us to keep invoices, typically for up to 10 years. These records are held by Creem, our merchant of record, and by us in anonymous form.
  • Aggregate counts — totals such as "matches coded this month" that contain no personal data and cannot be traced back to you.

Nothing kept can identify you or be used to reconstruct your account.

Voice recordings

Your voice is never stored. Audio is streamed to our transcription provider while you code a rally and discarded as soon as the words come back — there is no recording to delete, before or after you close your account. The full picture is in the Privacy Policy.

Deleting the app is not the same thing

Uninstalling Volleyball Code from your phone removes the app and the copy of your matches held on that device. It does not touch the account itself, because your matches sync to the cloud so you can pick them up on another device. To erase the account, use one of the two routes above.
