Terms of Service

These terms cover what you can expect from Volleyball Code and what we expect from you. They are written to be read, not to be survived.

Last updated: 31 July 2026

1. Who you are dealing with

Volleyball Code ("the service", "we", "us") is a voice-controlled volleyball statistics application available at volleyballcode.com. It is operated by an individual sole trader, not a company.

Operator
Zaid Koutam, sole trader
Location
Casablanca, Morocco

By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

2. Your account

You need an account to use Volleyball Code. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at contact@volleyballcode.com if you think someone else has access to it.

You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account. The service is built for coaches and team staff.

One account is for one person. You may not share your login with other coaches — if your club needs several coaches, that is what the Club plan is for.

3. Plans and what each one includes

We offer a free plan and paid plans. What is included in each is described on the pricing page, which forms part of these terms.

We may change what is included in a plan. If a change reduces what your paid plan includes, we will email you at least 30 days beforehand, and you may cancel before the change takes effect and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused part of your current period.

4. Payment, renewal and cancellation

This is the section most people are looking for, so it is deliberately plain.

  • Your subscription renews automatically. A monthly plan renews every month and a yearly plan renews every year, on the same date, at the same price, until you cancel it.
  • You are charged at the start of each period, not the end.
  • You can cancel at any time, from the billing portal linked in your profile, or by emailing us. There is no cancellation fee and you do not have to give a reason.
  • Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not end your access immediately — you keep your paid plan until the end of the period you already paid for, and then move to the free plan.
  • Your data stays. Dropping to the free plan does not delete your matches. Some features become unavailable, but nothing you recorded is erased.
  • Prices are in US dollars and shown excluding tax. Any sales tax or VAT required in your country is added at checkout and shown to you before you pay.

Refunds are covered separately in our Refund Policy.

If a renewal payment fails, we will keep your plan active for a short grace period while the payment is retried. If it keeps failing, the account moves to the free plan.

Who takes your payment

Payments are handled by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record for every purchase. This means Creem is the seller of record for the transaction, handles the payment, and collects and remits any sales tax or VAT owed in your country. Creem, not Volleyball Code, will appear on your card or bank statement.

We never see or store your card details.

5. Price changes

We may change our prices. If we change the price of a plan you are already on, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and the new price only takes effect at your next renewal. If you do not want to pay the new price, cancel before that renewal and you will not be charged it.

6. Acceptable use

Use the service to code and analyse volleyball matches. Please do not:

  • Resell, sublicense or rent access to the service, or share one account across a club to avoid buying seats
  • Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service or to another coach's data
  • Use the service to store data you have no right to hold, or to break any law that applies to you
  • Use automated means to extract data from the service beyond your own exports

If you seriously or repeatedly break these rules we may suspend or close your account. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.

7. Your data belongs to you

Everything you put into Volleyball Code — your matches, teams, rosters and the statistics generated from them — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.

You grant us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your data, process it to produce your statistics, transcribe your voice commands, and show it back to you across your devices. Nothing more.

You can export your matches to CSV or PDF at any time on a paid plan, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything in it. How we handle your data is set out in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the player information you enter. If you record the names of players, particularly players under 18, make sure you are allowed to do so under the rules of your club, school or federation.

8. The service is provided as it is

We work hard to keep Volleyball Code accurate and available, but we cannot promise perfection.

Voice recognition is not perfect. Transcription depends on your microphone, the noise in your gym, your accent and the speech models we use. Always review what the app understood before confirming a rally. The confirmation step exists precisely for this. We are not responsible for decisions you take based on statistics that came from a misheard command you confirmed.

The service may be unavailable at times, for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We do not offer a guaranteed uptime level on any plan.

9. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost matches, lost opportunities, lost contracts, or lost data where you had the ability to export it.

Where we are found liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event that caused it. If you are on the free plan, that amount is zero, which is the honest trade for a free product.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time by emailing contact@volleyballcode.com. We will delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may close your account if you seriously break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop operating the service. If we shut the service down, we will give you at least 60 days' notice, refund the unused part of any paid period, and keep exports working until the end.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Morocco, and the courts of Morocco have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose law gives you the right to bring a claim locally, this does not take that right away from you.

13. Getting in touch

A real person reads every message. Email contact@volleyballcode.com and you will usually hear back within one working day.
